Episode 16: Sorry I Robbed You

I started some Cozy Rabbit Farm merino/silk/Tencel/angelina/firestar/angora, 2 ounces

I spun every day of the tour except for yesterday, because we got back home so late. I didn’t take any rest days, so let’s just count that as a belated rest day!

I only finished the one yarn, but feel much more confident with my spindles.

 

On the Edge:

No progress in War and Peace – still 73%

We went to Burlington, VT for a Lake Monsters game – go Connecticut!

Episode 13: 10-Year Guarantee

I did a Video Knit Night! I met Andrea of The CATT Lady Podcast, Sue from Two Tangled Skeins (who kindly mentioned me in episode 119), and Amanda from Stitching Ewe & More Podcast. (I also met Sarah of The Canadian Knitter Podcast, but totally blanked on her name during the episode.)

My husband shrank (shrunk?) one of my alpaca-blend socks (just one!!!), so I got to go to my LYS and got some Chiagoo needles size US 0, Louet Euroflax Linen in Seafoam Green, and Regia 8-Fadig in 08992.

Russian support spindle & Contented Butterfly Farm Wee Beastie Batt (60% wool, 30% mohair, 10% silk)

I bought a zip-tie container and am using that as a storage case. I also bought a smaller bowl at Big Lots. Spinning my singles counter-clockwise. I watched some of Drafting: The Long & Short of It, which is helping with long-draw, but I keep pulling the different fibers away from each other.

Swap:

I sent Lion Brand Magic Stripes, Schoppel-Wolle Crazy Zauberball, Dream in Color Smooshy, Red Heart Heart & Sole, Fiber Stash Twinkle Toes, as well as some Stash Chocolate Mint Tea and some stitch markers I made (yes, the return of Extra Credit!) using PDXKnitterati’s tutorial.

She sent me a lovely swap package with more yarn than she should have, including some extras she got from the Sock Yarn Minis/Scraps Swapping Facebook group. She also sent me an adorable notions bag!
